AutoChlor Warranty Terms and Conditions
Every unit sold by TD Chlorinators Pty Ltd is covered by manufacturer's warranty. Please read warranty terms and conditions below. Terms and conditions are valid at the time of publication and may change without further notice.
The manufacturer Australian Innovative Systems Pty Ltd (herein known as AIS) offers a full two (2) year factory warranty on the power supply and electrolytic cell on all original AUTOCHLOR AC, RP and SM model chlorinators when used in a domestic application. A domestic application is deemed to be an AUTOCHLOR unit purchased to sanitise a household pool used by one household. Any domestic model used in a commercial application is covered by a one (1) year warranty. A commercial application is deemed to be an AUTOCHLOR unit purchased to sanitise a pool commonly used by more than one household.
Pro-Rata ~ (Valid only for units purchased before September 2006)
The Pro-Rata only applies to original AUTOCHLOR cells purchased with a power pack as a complete unit before September 2006. The original cell must be returned directly to AIS and not via any other vendor or agent. Pro-Rata warranty only applies to complete units purchased as new. It does not apply to spare parts or replacement items purchased after the warranty period has expired or individually. In addition pro-rata does not apply to units used in commercial applications. The Pro-Rata warranty system is being phased out and will be eventually replaced with the full 2-year warranty.
All chlorinators are fully factory tested prior to being packed.
If, within twenty-four (24) months of purchase, mechanical or electrical faults do occur due to poor workmanship or faulty components, then such parts will be repaired or replaced at no cost to the owner (including labour). Replacement parts will NOT be provided without the return of the defective components and proof of age of the unit.
To request a genuine warranty claim a Warranty Request Form must be submitted online at http://www.autochlor.com.au/warranty.asp or if you have no access to the internet, a warranty claim can be enacted by phoning the AIS National Warranty Number 1800 676 076. On the confirmation of warranty by an authorised AIS officer the complete unit should be returned to the manufacturer along with proof of age or purchase. Forward freight costs are the responsibility of the owner. In addition the disconnection and reconnection of wiring for special tariff rates is the responsibility of the owner as are all costs associated with the disconnection and reconnection of the equipment to special tariff rates.
Unless specified, all warranty work is strictly factory repair. Repair by anyone other than the manufacturer AIS or one of its authorised warranty agents will void all warranty.
The manufacturer will not be liable for any consequential loss or damage caused by operation outside our prescribed limits as outlined in our instruction manual. Incorrect installation or connection to incorrect power supply, the changing of internal wiring for tariff connections, misuse, abuse, negligence, accidental damage, normal wear and tear, or damage caused by water entry are not covered by this warranty. Nor is damage to the cell lead & connectors and/or cell cap & connectors due to overheating caused by poor cleaning & maintenance of the cell by the owner (refer to owners manual for details).
AIS always takes diligent care in servicing all goods, however AIS is not liable for any form of damage or loss of the aforementioned goods. Goods returned for repair must be returned within 7 (seven) days of warranty confirmation. Any omissions on the warranty request form, or incomplete fault descriptions may result in delays. Any goods returned for repair & found not faulty or goods with physical damage or damage caused by improper use will not be covered by warranty and the customer shall be liable for a handling and service fee. All relevant paperwork needs to be enclosed with the goods. Also be aware that any freight / transit / courier companies used to ship goods are entirely separate entities and AIS cannot be deemed responsible for any losses or damages incurred to the aforementioned goods by these companies during travel of said goods. When using any freight / transit / courier companies be sure to package the equipment carefully, making sure the parcel is virtually shock proof.
Remember to care for your pool equipment by regularly performing simple maintenance checks as instructed in your owners manual and by intelligently keeping your equipment safe from the elements by using a good pool equipment shed. This will ensure you get maximum satisfaction from your investment. Some chlorinators are eligible for extended 4 year warranty(at extra cost). Please enquire at the time of purchase whether you are eligible for it.
